Graduation Requirements

At NWCCA, students earn their high school diploma taking a combination of WCPSS and Wake Tech courses. Our rigorous educational approach includes honors, AP, and college level courses that meet Future Ready Core graduation requirements. WCPSS elective course options include Business Education, World Language, and Arts Education. Wake Tech course options are determined by the student's Program of Study.

Our students must complete the following graduation requirements by the end of their senior year to earn a WCPSS diploma:
English I, II, III and IV - 4 English credits

North Carolina Mathematics 1, 2, 3, and one math higher than NC Math 3 (AFM or Pre-Calculus) - 4 Math credits
World History, Civics/Economics, and American History I and II or AP US History and 1 Social Studies elective course - 4 Social Sciences credits
Earth Science, Biology and Chemistry - 3 Science credits
Healthful Living - 1 credit
6 elective credits - Two of these credits must include a combination of Arts, CTE, or World Language courses
*For application to a four year college, students must take two consecutive levels of the same foreign language.

*Students must earn a total of 22 credits to receive a high school diploma.
